Waiting Areas
For your convenience and safety, we have special waiting areas throughout the facility. Please do not gather in the hallways or at the nurses' stations. You may also want to review our Visiting Hours and Policies.
Public Transportation
Access to the Fresno VA Medical Center through public transportation can be made using the Fresno Area Express (FAX) bus routes. The north-south route # 32 travels to the Medical Center with stops every half hour beginning at 6:40 am and continues until 10:00 pm. The east-west access route # 39 to the Medical Center stops at every half hour beginning at 6:15 am and continues until 9:45 pm.

Parking Information
Parking for patients and visitors only can be found in parking lot B on the corner of Fresno Street and Clinton Avenue. This restricted lot is open to all patients and visitors only from 7:00 am until 2:30 pm Monday through Friday. The remaining parking lots on the facility are always open to patients and visitors including handicap assessable parking spaces in lots A and C. Parking for employees and volunteers are available on station with the exception of parking lot B during the restricted period.
Security
VA Central California Health Care System has a Police Service. Our officers provide 24-hour patrols of the facility and parking lots. Report all suspicious or criminal activity, vehicle accidents, and personal property losses to the VA Police while on the facility grounds as soon as possible. Because the VA Medical Center is federal property, all persons and bags are subject to search. In addition, no weapons, alcohol, or illegal drugs are permitted.

Members of the clergy are welcome to visit their members at any time at the discretion of the unit physicians or nurses.
